-2- A.Taub Esq. June 17th.1937 (10) A double rear main bearing with a timing wheel between the bearings did not give immunity from trouble and a thin flange flywheel was still necessary. We took a lot of measurements optically with the gearbox removed and found these useful for quick determination of benefits or otherwise of modifications. With the gearbox removed all vibrations were about 500 r.p.m. lower. Its stiffness effect of the gearbox attachment is shown on G.54793.
