In order to find out whether the use of radio suppressors of 15,000 ohms would have any detrimental effects on the perform-ance of the engine, road tests have been carried out by myself and Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} The position of these suppressors were - (1) 15,000 ohm resistor fitted in coil to distributor lead. (2) 15,000 ohm resistor fitted at each sparking plug. No detrimental effects were experienced using the resistors either as in (1) or (2) or both together. In the test the sparking plug gaps were increased to .050" without showing any signs of missing on 'pick-up'. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} | ||
