Dear Mr. Connolly,

Although I have been in London several times since I last wrote to you, I have been unable to arrange to meet you.

You may remember that, some time ago, you supplied us with 4 Vaumol hides in a green grey colour, to match some Rexine. They were in the natural grain and not printed.

We shall be wanting, in the near future, 4 more hides which I should like to have lightly printed, so that they are a better match to the Rexine.

I am also thinking that if, later on, we ask you to supply about 200 hides or more a week, you might have some difficulty in finding the quantity which are sufficiently free of blemishes, so that a lightly printed hide might help in the selection as well as matching the Rexine.

You wrote to me on June 4th, saying that you had not got a plate that would be a good match to the Rexine. I have in mind the hides that you supplied to the Standard Company, which were a very good match to the Rexine. These were Luxan grain. Possibly the answer to that is that the plates are worn out and have been replaced by others that do not match.

I thought, however, that before asking you to supply more hides, I would take the matter up with you so that you can give the matter your consideration.

Yours sincerely,
