Many thanks for Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}16/1/30.11.34. I understood from somebody that the wheel arch clearances were going to be increased so that 6" tyres could be fitted on any car, and therefore did not make a special point of this. If however it is not going to be standard, then I would like to know what it would cost to make the necessary modification and whether it would affect the seating capacity of the body. I did not realise that Mr. Fairey's car had a longer seat cushion than standard, and should like to have particulars of this. Personally I consider the front seats in Lappin's car are as comfortable as anything I have so far sat in. There is one point I did not mention, and that is that B-10-DG has a moved back cross member and we want to take advantage of this to get the maximum amount of room between the front of the rear seats and the back of the front seats. I do not think that on 4-B-IV they have gone quite as far as they could in this respect. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
