- 5 - Chassis Price. In the field of even the "luxury cars" in America the total chassis cost is generally less than a third of the selling price. For example, Cadillac "16" offers models from £ 1100 to £ 2000. Even if we allowed half the selling price for chassis we should only arrive at £ 1500 for P-II chassis complete and £ 1000 for the 20/25. We just mention this inorder to show the enormous discrepancy in chassis cost which exists. We feel that it is on reduction of both chassis cost and reduction of Coachwork, including all accessories, while maintaining the high quality and perforance of the vehicle, that the future of Rolls-Royce depends.
