Dear Sirs, I understand that the Rolls-Royce Car AUL24, 25.3 horse-power, Black Coupe, Engine No.W5S, belonging to our Chairman Mr. V.Z. de Ferranti, is in at your Works for an overhaul and repair. This car is fitted with our Car Radio and we have experienced a certain amount of trouble from front wheel static which I have discussed with Mr. Child previously. Mr. Child explained that you had experienced this trouble and had cured it by fitting a special type of earthing spring from the axle to the outer case. We should be very much obliged if you could arrange to fit two of these earthing springs on Mr. de Ferranti's car while it is in your possession; perhaps you will let me know if this will be possible. We are waiting to hear from you with reference to the installation of our car radio on your experimental car and as soon as this is in a sufficiently advanced condition for us to hear the set working we shall be very pleased to pay you another visit and make a thorough test on the actual chassis itself.
