We send herewith the Insurance Policy for the DH.{D. Henderson - Showroom}9A Aircraft and Rolls-Royce F.XI Engine which is being used for the 100 hours flying at De Havillands.

Will you please send us a cheque for £322.10.0d. made out in favour of Bray, Gibb & Company. This amount should be charged against Contract No. A.M. 800836/27.

Will Rg.{Mr Rowledge} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} please note the following special endorsement:-

" It is hereby declared and agreed that this policy covers the insured aircraft for flight risks and ground fire risk as herein mentioned only.
The Insured hereby agree to keep a true and accurate record of all flying under the policy and to furnish a copy of such record to the Insurers not later than seven days after the expiration of each calendar month of the policy, and to pay to the Insurers a premium of £3.4.6d. per hour or part of an hour of flight aggregated monthly in respect of the first fifty hours of flight and thenafter such a premium as may be mutually agreed.
It is also declared that the Insured guarantee not less than 25 hours flying under the policy.
It is further declared that the initial premium of £322.10.0. reserved under this policy is calculated on 100 hours of flight at £3.4.6d. per hour and is subject to adjustment."

It will be necessary for us to furnish to the Underwriters a record of all flying done month by month. Can arrangements be made to do this?

We also require to be advised as soon as 50 hours flying have been completed as we are hoping to get a rebate on the remaining half of the premium in the event of there having been no claim.

Att: Policy.
