Once it has started the reverse, castoring action will, of course, aggravate the trouble. We have investigated the couple caused by the centre of gravity about the side upon which most braking is being done, and find that this has not as much affect on the steering as we supposed. This has been proved practically by the fact that the torque arm eliminates the movement of the steering wheel under these conditions.
