Dear Sirs,

B.56.BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} Experimental Car.

With reference to our call yesterday, we now confirm having handed you an extract from our Experimental Department's Report on the defects in the coachwork.

We would also confirm that you are to:-

(1) Supply and fit a modern door with silent travel type locks to the luggage container at a charge of about £12.0.0. This new door, it is understood, will effectually overcome the complaint of dust getting into the luggage container and the trouble with the spare wheel mounting.

(2) You will modernise the method of mounting the wings and running boards, which up to the present have had to rely on wood screws, which ofcourse have come loose.

(3) You will fit a modern sheet metal cross member to prevent a recurrence of the metal floor sinking, and in addition, you will fit light strips of steel below the back cushion board to guard against any possibility of the fabric coming in contact with the silencer.

(4) You will modernise the method of attaching the headlining, the construction of the front cushions and the construction of the back squab, making sure that the latter makes a seal with the body so as to prevent dust, petrol fumes or heated air getting into the passengers' compartment. In addition, you will overhaul the front seat mechanism.
