Regarding the 4 new I/C B.80 units, will you please build to the following specification. Crankcase and Bearings. Nos. 1 and 2 units as per LOP.EB.4248. Nos. 3 and 4 to incorporate:- (a) Raised valve guide bosses PD.266. (b) Vandervell main bearing which Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}will supply (EB.4417/8/9/20/21/22/23/24). Case to have main bearing bore dimensions as EB.4387, also bearing locking slots, the existing dowels being deleted. Main bearing caps to EB.4393/4/5/6. Regarding the intermediate main bearing caps EB.4395, 6 per unit are required. Thrust washers to EB.4429/30 which Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} will supply. The reason we can quote EB. numbers is that this job has been incorporated on the large bore '60' but not the '80'. Valves and Fittings.
