6021 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}: from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.38/AP.16.11.36. BATTERY BOXES We have always had our battery boxes completely lead coated which costs us 10/- per box. We did this because with our old third brush dynamos the batteries often got overcharged resulting in excessive acid spray. Now we have voltage control there is not so much argument for this expensive treatment, and we are trying out boxes on P.III. and Bentley chassis merely painted with anti-sulphuric paint.
