We are familiar with the transfer of Spline from the Propeller Shaft to Gear Box. It is quite easily arranged. We do not remember American cars so fitted but we have been using the scheme for a long time on Shafts we supply to the Rover Co. It is a considerable while since we dealt with this but we do know that for the splines they came to adopt our standards of fit etc. and top location of teeth. We have not heard of any detrimental results so apparently they are satisfactory. Originally the writer opposed the scheme, because it adds the weight of the front joint on the spline and as this must be a running fit, we expected to get slight vibrations. If you consider a visit useful, we shall be pleased to see you here although we suppose it should be for us to come to Derby. Yours faithfully, p.p. HARDY, SPICER & CO. LIMITED.
