Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY1/G.8.5.29. 'P' SERIES MATERIAL - 20 HP. CHASSIS. Please note that we must reinstate the short frame for the first hundred chassis in 'P' series, as the Administration are putting difficulties in the way of the introduction of the larger bore engine without which the longer frame is not permissible. The Administration do not think we have enough time in hand to risk holding for finish of larger engine test. Do not at present, however, order any of engine pieces involved - leave this still open. 'F' and 'G' Depts. should alter back to short frame requirements, however, with upright steering allowed for.
