1020. Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}11/MH.{M. Huckerby} 3rd. July, 1939. Messrs. Vandervell Products Ltd., Western Avenue, Park Royal, LONDON, W.3. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 30th. June, prior to which we had a visit from your Mr. Johnson, and discussed the question of the rocker bush EB.4309. The arrangement decided with Mr. Johnson was that you would supply 50 sample bushes with what amount you thought necessary left in the bore for our final broaching to .625 dia. We understood that this amount would be .003 - .006 on the diameter, whereas the new drawing you submitted, B.2204, allows for .008 - .012 left in the bore for final broaching. However, we leave this point to you and would like the samples as soon as possible for production approval, together with whatever dimensions you finally decide upon. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
