Ry. from EFC. c. By/RD. X.5655. EFC4/ADES.6.29. MAIN AND AUXILIARY SWITCH UNIT Please find attached copy of table of gaps as actually observed on a production main and auxiliary switch unit, which has been duly adjusted in accordance with our instruction Version J of 1.6.29. It will be noted that there are only three gaps (underlined) which do not come within our specified limits, and the maximum error of these is only .002". The switch, which can therefore be said reasonably to comply with our limits, is now being tested on our bench rig, in fact, it will be given a prolonged test in connection with the comparative tests of gear rings of different materials on our automatic switching, on and off, over a prolonged period.
