Dear Sirs,

We have recently produced a new asbestos jointing which, we are sure, will be of interest to you. It is called 'IMUNOIL' and has been developed to resist the action of oil at high temperatures, against which ordinary C.A.F. Jointing, even of high quality, is comparatively ineffective.

As soon as the temperature of 200-220°F.{Mr Friese} is reached, 'IMUNOIL' undergoes a chemical change, becoming hard and completely impervious to hot oil and remaining permanently in this condition.

There should be several joints on an aero engine which would be more satisfactory if cut in this material.

'IMUNOIL' is further described on page 31 of the enclosed catalogue.

We have many other products which may also interest you, for example:-

'PHOENIX' PETROL JOINTING, described on page 33. An excellent material for petrol or oil joints to work at low or medium temperature.

'PHOENIX' MOTORITE JOINTING, described on page 32. A highly resistant jointing with steel mesh insertion, particularly suitable for exhaust joints.

'PHOENIXITE' C.A.F. JOINTING in many qualities. See our pages 28-29. A jointing for all ordinary purposes. Our No.1 Untearable is a material of the highest possible quality, and therefore particularly suitable for aero engine work where absolute reliability is essential.

The prices in the catalogue are subject to discount.

We enclose samples of all the articles mentioned, and shall be pleased to supply larger pieces for test if you will let us know the size and thickness necessary.

Yours faithfully,

For BRITISH BELTING & ASBESTOS Ltd
