Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Ds. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X 8650 EFC3/T7.11.24. X. 8650. EAC. SILENT STARTER GEAR. Attached to R's copy of this report will be found a blueprint diagram of connections of sequence silent starter, in which the various circuits are suitably coloured :- The first or actuator teazer circuit is shown in red. The second or main switch operating circuit is shown in green. The third or main motor current circuit is shown in thick black. The fourth or hold-on circuit is shown in light black. The exact sequence of operations is in accordance with the following table :- On. Off. 1. Push button switch contacts (copper and carbon) 2. Actuator box contact. 3. Main switch contacts (carbon and copper) 4. Top relay switch contacts (carbon and copper) 5. Bottom relay contact. 6. Actuator box contact. 7. Main switch contact. 8. Interval previous to release of push button switch. Push button switch contacts. 9. Bottom relay contact. 10. Top relay switch contacts. As reported in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}9/LG5.11.24, we have an EAC.II engine (in chassis 93-NK) fitted up with this sequence silent starter. Contd. | ||
