E2. SERIES MATERIAL. X3066

With reference to the list of modified parts about which you wish to have information before ordering material for the next series.

The simplified lightened and improved clutch to LeC.2273, the lubrication of Clutch Operating Shaft to LeC.2264. Strengthened tie rods, front axle control damper and torque reaction damper, the new registration plate, the oil tight gland on the steering box, heat shield for the rear silencer N.sch.2311 and the modified front silencer will start 10,000 miles in about a months time. We do not anticipate much trouble with any of these parts.

As soon as we have started the 10,000 miles we shall issue standardisation sheet for them.

Of all the parts mentioned we are most interested in the axle control. We might get a standardisation sheet through for this somewhat earlier than the other parts by running it on the bump and road.

We are running the improvement for lubricating the shock damper ball pins on the bump and hope to issue a std. sheet in a short time.

The new type bonnet catches to N.sch.2319 are not likely to be standardised, nor is the hydraulic steering damper to N.sch.2356.
