re. JAGGERS.

Regarding jaggers on the RHM. scheme (I do not know about the others) I notice on this we are running the servo a tenth of the transmission speed, but we have a very long arm on the servo connecting rod, and it would appear that this particular servo is not working through a big angle of action and therefore might be putting on the brakes more quickly than such a scheme as the agreed scheme. We fear however that with any scheme without the ratchet, which cannot be used with a double connecting rod, we are up against the trouble in worn brakes of either a long period of lag before the servo works, or servo of too high a speed, so that it may be before we get really satisfactory braking we shall have to abandon the second rod and the backward braking, and fit the ratchet to one or the other sides of the servo. All these modifications are so small that they can be embodied any time without serious loss of money.
