The following is a brief summary of the discussion held yesterday :-

PHANTOM III.

(1) Swindall should continue to follow up the Stromberg carburetter and pipes with Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s car.

(2) Whyman and Ll.Smith should test the Long clutch on Green Bank when 35-EX returns from Sales.

(3) Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} will investigate the chunking on 32-EX.

(4) A final report is required on the rubber shackles on 32-EX.

(5) 33-EX we have put in the shop for examination of the clutch and the fitting of the rubber between the axle and the spring. If the clutch back plate is distorted a new plate should be fitted with the Long material. At the conclusion of the chassis tests, the engine unit should be changed.

(6) 32-EX.

(a) Carry out general carburetter work, in particular to see if vapour lock occurs.

(b) Ll.Smith should arrange with Dodd to carry out clutch tests on Green Bank to see if we can make the clutch go bad.

(c) A high "u" hand brake liner should be fitted to this car. NO GOOD

(d) Pieces to prevent the brake ropes fouling should be fitted to this car.

(e) The latest pivots and dampers of the non-autolock type should be fitted.

(f) The micrometer-adjusted ignition timing should be fitted to this car.

(g) We should endeavour to carry out radiator tests at Brooklands.
