Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c c Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c c By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} file Y3612 EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}3/LG29.3.22. We enclose letter from OY. dated Mar.16th. with reference to Lateral Adjustment of Pinion on Gleason Gears. I am taking this matter up with Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} and BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and I take it it is quite in order, as I certainly think at the present stage, any information which will help us to overcome our present "mess" that we are in as regards obtaining quiet axles, which is certainly the control of out-put and the most expensive part to obtain satisfactory, could be taken full advantage of.
