It is noticeable in some of your recent letters, that there is a certain amount of bitterness, and I believe that in consequence the job is likely to suffer. I know that you will agree that we have got all we can do to get the job right. We have no time to enter into petty squabbles. The chief point that interests me on the heating job, is whether 24-EX is less efficiently cooled than any other car, either Phantom 1 or Phantom 11, you have run in France under similar conditions. If you think this, we should like to know the reasons why. We should also like to have any suggestions you can make as regards what improvements can be made. With regard to the exhaust system. We despatched to you yesterday a complete standard system which we hope you will fit as soon as possible. The reason we sent you off similar aluminium parts was because we had nothing else to send. We have now definitely condemned aluminium pieces on silencer and we wish to forget about that system. As regards your suggestion that the over-heating is caused by hot spots in the head.
