WEIGHTS.

The attached note from Craster, who used to do Chassis weights and who is now doing Aero weights, outlines the system we propose to use at the "Clan" Foundry.

Hallam is responsible for our weights, and I think will function with one apprentice assistant and 50% of a typist and photographer. He may have to be prepared to do his own photography in an emergency.

The essence of weights being useful is that they should be up to date. Therefore, Hallam should be allowed to weigh every new part before it is fitted to a chassis and also the complete chassis when it leaves the Fitting Shop.

He should also be made use of by Dodd for checking body weights and weights of complete cars, i.e. let us try and get a centralised source of information on weights.
