X. 967. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}3/AD. 12th November, 1929. Messrs. Prices Patent Candle Co.Ltd. Belmont Works, Battersea, London, S.W.11. Dear Sirs, We have recently been testing your Motorine C. oil adding to it 3% Castor oil. We think that this gives better results than the standard Motorine C. particularly with regard to heavy loads. The reason why we are interested in increasing the bearing loads under which the oil works is that we are now running hypoid rear axles where the lubrication plays a more important part than with the normal eliptic gear. We should like your opinion upon this result and whether there is a possibility of your improving the qualities of Motorine C. in this respect in the immediate future. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
