ZA., HARROGATE, YORKS. 18th August, 1940. Dear Mr. Robotham, Bearings and Crankshafts from U.S.A. Thank you for your letter of the 15th instant (Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 2/ML), I now append a copy of a cable sent to the British Purchasing Commission on the same day - "Your No.34 Aircon 5th July and cable from Olley to Rolls Royce subject to your concurrence authority hereby given payment additional 20,000 (Twenty thousand) dollars in respect of ball and roller bearing order also 2000 (Two thousand) dollars covering transport of crankshafts."
