MUD SLINGING - BENTLEY V CARS ----------------------------- We should be glad if you would submit a programme of tests you propose to carry out to check the mud slinging propensities of B.Vs.{J. Vickers} We feel that, apart from minor experiments which can be conducted on existing cars, you should ask Ward to make up a wing which incorporates all modifications of which you can think, and which has provision for guiding the mud under the car, at the rear end. It may even be necessary to increase the overhang of the edge of the wing relative to the wheel. It should be possible to get some data on this subject by examining the small cars we now have, some of which are quite good for cleanliness. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
