For the attention of Mr.T.Gibbs.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your letter of the 24th ultimo. Please accept our apologies for the delay in replying, but the writer contracted the usual seasonable malady and was not available.

At the present time our future thoughts are most indefinite and we have no drawing available which you could use as a basis for a seat. We will however, make a search through our earlier records, as soon as the opportunity presents itself and we may, some time in the future, be able to prepare a quick sketch showing the type of seat we have in mind.

In the meantime would you be good enough to let us have some comparative figures showing the respective weights per foot per section of the normal M/S tubing and the light gauge steel alloy which you suggest.

Many thanks for your offers to help us and we hope that we may be in a position to take advantage of your suggestions in the not too distant future.

We are,

Yours faithfully,

for Rolls-Royce Limited.
