AUTOMATIC OILING OF CLUTCH SPIGOT BEARING FROM GEAR BOX. Origin. To overcome uncertain hand oiling of spigot and bring same into line with central oiling scheme. Experimental Test Report. Fitted to 23-EX. for 10,000 miles test. Road Test Report. Fitted to 23-EX and run 10,000 miles. Free clutch operated satisfactorily with no trouble with oiling scheme. Taken down and examined, oiling found satisfactory. Part List A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to Customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in Works. C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test. D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis.
