4522 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.11/KW. 21st November, 1934. Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden Ltd., Eastern Works, Camden Street, Birmingham 1. For the attention of Mr. Spicer. Dear Sirs, Thank you for the 2 'U' Bolts for the Bumper EX.1581.B, which arrived this morning. Unfortunately these are approximately 5/8" shorter than the ones we have been using so are quite useless. This is because we are using more leaf springs I presume. Will you please despatch 2 similar 'U' Bolts only 5/8" longer, as soon as possible. We have instructed our Order Office to send you an order for three bumpers to N.Sch.4253. You will note that the construction of the ends is slightly different. In the meantime, however, will you please rush through another bumper with your standard end pieces, 62" overall width, and the silent bloc bush centres 25.750". This bumper is very urgent as we have had to part with the other 62" wide bumper you made for us. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
