To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from EFC. X1587 EFC3/T21.11.22. X.1581 - TRANSFORMER FOR EXPL. DEPT+ This is to confirm that you will enquire of Messrs. Cannings for a cutout suitable for use with the generator just received. Also we should be obliged if you would enquire from Messrs. Mitchells for a suitable choking coil to operate on the primary of the high tension transformer recently received, such primary being shunted by, say, a couple of lamps, with a view to providing a continuous variation of high tension voltage from a considerably low figure, to the maximum, or at any rate one which would give a continuous variation from say 5000 to 10000, 10,000 to 15,000, or 15000 to 20,000, utilising the various tappings of the secondary.
