A.{Mr Adams} C. Sparking Plug & Co. Ltd;,
Dunstable,
Beds.

Dear Mr. Stockbridge,

I am returning to you under seperate cover the experimental aero plugs type X410 and X412. The welding of the screen extension is most unsuitable and several extensions dropped off after only 20 minutes light running on a Merlin.

The welding will have to be much more substantial in the form of building up metal round the radius and then machining away the excess. Otherwise the plug will have to be redesigned in the detachable form.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
