Beverley, E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Yorks.

Dear Mr. Armstrong,

Thank you for the various shock damper parts.

In fixing up the two hand control dampers on to the rear of a P.III which have levers suitable for the back of a Bentley, we find that the off-set of the levers is too great. Therefore, for the next pair of dampers having maximum angular movement, we should like the off-set to be as shown on the attached sketch. The taper for the ball end needs to be unchanged.

If you have any difficulty in producing the necessary off-set on the levers we will cut them and weld them together in the correct position. Perhaps it would be better for us to modify the levers before they are fitted to the shaft.

In order to increase the number of dampers which we can get on test, I suggest that we should produce sand castings to your pattern and machine certain parts. If any pattern alterations are necessary they could be done here, but as our Pattern Shop is very busy we do not want to make complete new patterns.

Yours sincerely,
