To Mr, Robotham, Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Wym. {G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} 4/OH. 7.10.41 Dear Sirs, In regard to the scheme for pooling vehicles for travelling to and from Belper. I would like to point out that I am a member of the works unit Home Guard which makes it necessary for me to stop late two nights and Saturday afternoon each week for training, and I am also listed as a Despatch Rider in the unit which means I must always have my machine with me in case of emergency. Mr Thornhill who is grouped with me lives 1 1/2 miles from my home which would mean I should have a good walk each day to travel with him. He is also a middle aged man who I am sure would not want to ride pillion on a motor-cycle. 7.7. Hanley. 10822. | ||
