11.3.36 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Agrees to a large bore visit for Hall.
12.3.36 * Sr. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Says that Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has agreed to Le Mans entry and asks advice on 1) Optimum fuel to be carried. 2) Regs with regard to cylinder head. 3) Brakes.
This note implies that Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} is the Son (presumably in law) of Charles Faroux!
12.3.36 * Mrs Hall Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Discusses car details, tank, spare wheel carrier etc.
16.3.36 * Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Sr. Long reply to 12.3.36. 1) Fuel. 32 gallons is OK because this gives 8 more than the minimum of 24 laps and because of driver freshness etc a longer duration is of doubtful advantage. 2) Cyl. head - as long as mat'l. and outside changes are same as standard anything is allowed. 3) Brakes - says that the regs can be bent & allow special brakes. 4) Automatic oil replenishing scheme :- OK. The follower two pages of advice on details.
16.3.36 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Gengea / deTerra Covering letter to an annotated copy of the Le Mans regs. deTerra is one of the race organisers - assistant to Faroux.
17.3.36 RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} / Bouverie Asks for oil replenishing scheme to be drawn up properly.
18.3.36 Hall Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Encloses copy of Sr's letter of 16.3.36 with comments.
20.3.36 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Agrees to making spare wheel bracket.
30.3.36 Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Agrees to above and gives short progress report.
30.3.36 Hall Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Cos Asks Hall to order a set of André (Hartford) shock absorbers.
30.3.36 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Mrs Hall Asks for details on Le Mans entry.
30.3.36 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} So. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Asks if Hall can use their oil. Refers them to Hall.
