X.4383 - GOSHAWK DYNAMO.

We have now tried out for noise on 5GII, dynamo No.625 fitted with a cast iron end bracket, this dynamo being a noisy one received from EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} (for which we gave him dynamo No.604.)

The dynamo is still subject to quite a bad noise.

Our accumulative experience now points to the likelihood of this noise being an effect of tight bearings.

You will remember we have already asked you to ease the bearings on dynamo 562 with the taper pole pieces, which we have tried on chassis 3-GII and still found noise to exist.

We would like you now also to do the same to this machine on 5-GII and replace so that we may try it again as in the case of 3-GII.
