PHANTOM 11 SUBFRAMES. _______________________ The following Phantom 11 cars fitted with sub-frame bodies have now completed considerable mileage, and as a result we can give some idea of the advantages or otherwise due to the subframe mounting. 18-EX. Barker Saloon. Total mileage 38,109, of which 28,733 was run in France. This body has been remarkably free from rattles of any sort, and the body is in a better condition for the mileage than any we have previously had. The only body work done on the car has been to re-pack window slides and one or two other very small jobs. 19-EX. Hooper Cabriolet. Total mileage 24,017, of which 3,744 was run in France. Rattles have developed in the window fittings on this car, especially in the driver's patent 'quick drop' window. Apart from this the body has behaved well. 20-EX. Hooper Saloon (7 seater). Total mileage 14,193, run in England. Rattle from driver's window, otherwise good. 22-EX. Hooper Landaulet. Total mileage 27,489, of which 16,371 was run in France. Rattles developed from patent window on driver's side, otherwise the body has kept in fairly good condition. 23-EX. Special open Tourer. Total mileage 13,981, of which 10,170 was run in France. | ||
