Dear Sir,

BUFFER BLOCKS FOR 20 HP. ENGINE.

I am sending you under separate cover, two sample rubber blocks of No.7 quality to your specifictaion for 20 H.P. engine rubbers 1.250 inches long.

According to our test this rubber gives a rating slightly over 350 lbs. at 0.20 inches deflection and I should like to know whether this would be satisfactory for your purpose or whether you require harder blocks to give a rating of 400 lbs. at this deflection. It would be an advantage to us, should you require a number of these 20 H.P. blocks, to make them in this particular quality of rubber.

The mould for these samples has been made from a specimen that you supplied to us, and I should like to know whether the dimensions of these blocks are correct.

We have your Order No.84052 of December 6th 1928 calling for 2 dozen 20 H.P. Engine Rubbers, and if these samples are satisfactory we can effect delivery immediately on hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,
FOR THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO.LTD.,

W.B. Jones

Compounds Division.
