CONTROLS. x8240 x8250 x3456 In consequence of the multipli- city of fittings on the instrument board, we have decided to replace the carburetter control back on to the steering column, as on the standard 40/50. We can then use a radiator shutter control equivalent to the Goshawk carbur-etter control on the dashboard. The reasons that have led us to think this the simpler arrangement are too lengthy to mention here, but we know that this modification from earlier intentions will be welcomed by both Sales and Derby critics. It will be remembered that this radiator shutter control is in connection with the vertical louvres which we are fitting to this radiator, which, it will also be re-membered has been settled to have a 22" matrix. The details of the radiator with the combined shutters will be sent to Derby shortly. This shutter control is to be double acting, and therefore does not depend upon a spring to close. The result we are sure will give a much easier working control. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
