Messrs. Dennis Bros. Ltd.,
Guildford,
Surrey.

For the attention of Mr. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Milne.

Dear Sirs,

We understand from our representative Mr. R.{Sir Henry Royce} Matthews, who visited your works recently, that you have experienced trouble with your engine water temperature controlling thermostats, owing to deposits from the cooling water forming on the bellows etc. and causing sticking and erratic operation.

As we are about to go into production with this type of thermostat on one of our models, we would very much welcome any information which you could give us on the subject i.e. length of service before trouble occurred, districts in which encountered, precise nature of trouble, whether due to constant addition of fresh cooling water, and method which has been adopted to overcome trouble etc.

Anything you can do to help us in the matter will be appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
