Dear Geoffrey, Thank you for your letter. I don't know what I can do about delivery for you - the position is that I did stir them up in London to the extent of making them give Watsons two chassis in January. They then sent me a letter from Watsons in which it was complained that Richard was asking £625 for his Talbot and was an impossible person to deal with, etc. etc. The idea was to show me that the customers I brought them were no good from a commercial point of view. Therefore I am rather reluctant to tackle the managing director again. However, I have got into touch with our Bentley salesman Mr.Bleaney this afternoon who is at the Bentley showrooms in Conduit Street, and he is going to scour the country to see if he can find a chassis which for some reason has not been taken up. You will appreciate that we have definitely sold and received deposits for 150 cars, and therefore to get earlier delivery before March at the present juncture is a matter for divine intervention. I suggest that you get on to Bleaney and find out what he has managed to do. It is almost certain that you will have to pay more for an earlier chassis than if you waited until March. I am afraid this is all I can do from here. Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} | ||
