FRANCE.

11.11.31;

We have arrived at Chateauroux with 10.G.IV. this evening. The car has, throughout the run, given no trouble, the max. speed reached was 74 m.p.h., but as we have had very heavy winds to deal with, the maximum speed has been probably kept down.

We shall attend to the engine mounting and have a general examination before starting the mileage.

I have been overhauling 24-EX at Paris as requested but did not try the car as it was not finished until late last evening, and today being Armistice Day, Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} required the car for a trial run. I have arranged, therefore, with him to let me know whether he considers any improvement has been made, and if not, I shall have another go at it. I will let you have a detailed list of what has been done later.
