EXHAUST SYSTEM. X.8230.

We send herewith drawing No. LeC.1918, shewing an arrangement scheme of the proposed modifications.

You will notice that we have added to the capacity of the exhaust system by re-introducing the front silencer near the engine like 40/50.

Mr. Royce would like Mr.Hives if possible to rig up some sort of temporary pieces for getting a quick test of this scheme. In the meantime we are proceeding with the full scale designs.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
