Rolls-Royce Limited, Nightingale Road, DERBY. In consideration of your purchase of OLDSMOBILE Vehicle No. 34497 having Chassis No. 424648 and Engine No. 16897 we hereby warrant to you that if within six months from the date of delivery of such Vehicle to the new owner, you return immediately on discovery any part of such Vehicle which you allege to be defective to us at our Works carriage paid properly packed and clearly marked for identification with your full name and address and the Chassis and Engine numbers and Mileage of such Vehicle, together with a complete description of the claim and the reasons therefor, such part will be examined and should any fault claimed be found, such defective part will be repaired or a new part will be supplied in exchange and the part so repaired or such new part will be delivered to you free of charge at our Works provided that you satisfy us or, in the case of the part in question forming part of the proprietary equipment supplied by us with the Vehicle, the manufacturers or suppliers thereof, (i) that such fault was due solely to defective materials or workmanship (ii) that such Vehicle has not been let out on hire or used for motor racing and (iii) that the Vehicle has not been fitted with an unsuitable body and on the condition that any labour cost involved in the removal or reinstatement of the part in the vehicle is payable by you. If more convenient to you any proprietary equipment supplied by us with the vehicle may be returned with the above particulars direct to the Works or nearest Service Depot of the manufacturers thereof, but in such event, the make, model and date of delivery of the vehicle must also be supplied and the repaired or new part, as the case may be, will be delivered free of charge at the Manufacturers' Works or nearest Service Depot. This warranty, the benefit of which is non-assignable, does not extend to tyres, covers and tubes and is given on the terms that it expressly excludes all warranties conditions and liabilities whatsoever in respect of the said Vehicle and all parts and articles thereof and therein (including tyres, covers and tubes) implied by Common Law, Statute or otherwise and is in lieu of all other warranties given by us or on our behalf in respect thereof. Our decision on all questions of fact arising under this warranty shall be conclusive and binding. The use on the said Vehicle of replacement parts not approved by us will absolve us from the necessity of fulfilling any obligation under this or any other warranty or condition in respect of the said Vehicle or any part thereof. Attention is drawn to the fact that tyres, covers and tubes are specifically excluded from this warranty and that no warranty condition or liability is accepted in respect thereof, accordingly any representations with regard thereto should be made direct to the makers. Purchasers of OLDSMOBILE vehicles shall be deemed to purchase the same after full inspection and approval, subject to and with the benefit of this Guarantee and all other conditions, guarantees, representations and warranties, whether expressed or implied, and which might exist but for this provision, and every liability (if any) for consequential damage by reason of any defect, latent or otherwise are hereby expressly excluded, and we neither assume nor authorise any other person to assume for us any other liability in connection with the sale of OLDSMOBILE vehicles. This is to Certify that the OLDSMOBILE MODEL 34497 Chassis No. 424648 fitted with Touring Sedan type of Body Bruce Blue Colour (F.37) 1937 Year has this day been registered as the property of ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. of NIGHTINGALE ROAD.
