The car continues to give great satisfaction.

Both carburetter jets had previously been reduced by 2 notches from W's marks. The low speed jet was correct at this setting, but the high speed jet had become a little weak, and I therefore returned it to W's marking.

Mileage 14,000. The valves have recently been ground in, but the engine has not been decarbonized. Its running however, is excellent.

Petrol Consumption 11 to 12 miles per gallon average.

The driver said that, recently, the ammeter started to show an excessive charging current. They subsequently found that the bottom brush, which in this case appears to be the positive one, was sticking. They replaced all the brushes, which overcame the trouble. They assured me that they had examined the battery connections and had found them to be perfectly sound. The explanation of this occurence is not very clear to me and I should appreciate EFC's remarks on the subject.
