[Handwritten at top: [text struck through]LETTER[/text struck through] X155] To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. Sports Model. BJ16/E12/9/27 R. {Sir Henry Royce} in writing concerning the Sports Model says: 'Concerning splashers, and wind resistance, there are three types - 'our old balloon (more or less good), then the ultra splayed type, 'and also the [text struck through]huey&[/text struck through] bicycle type as used on the small sports car. 'Personally for an open fast car I should like us to try this last 'type.' Can you please arrange for the different types of splashers to be designed and fitted to the car [text struck through]which will be[/text struck through] shortly testing in order that we may inspect and test the different kinds and see whether they meet with R's approval.
