600. To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} (FOR LOG BOOK). c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/TAS.{T. Allan Swinden} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}12.4.39. WEEK END RUN ON 25.G.VI. Apart from two criticisms this is a very good car, quiet and comfortable. Carburation. Immediately after a cold start the mixture is strong enough to drive straight up a hill but too strong to run light evenly. After a few minutes the carburation becomes weaker and remains too weak until the temperature reaches about 65°C. Even when hot the mixture is weak after braking. This is very noticeable in London when slowing down for frequent cross roads. Clutch. This judders when hot and takes up very slowly after a quick change from 3rd. to top. It is necessary to correct the engine speed before the clutch will take full torque. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
