X6051 Expl. Dept. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/MJ. March 27th.1930. The A.T.Speedometer Co.Ltd., 183, The Vale, Acton, LONDON. W.3. Dear Sirs, Re. Special Speedometers C.299 and C.273. We understand that these speedometers have been returned to you with a report. Unfortunately, these speedometers were passed to the Production Dept., instead of the Experimental Dept., and were tested as production speedometers. We understand, however, that one was not correctly erected. We should be obliged if you will return the speedometers when you have corrected the mechanical error, and address them for the attention of the undersigned Experimental Dept. The original specification as to reading should be adhered to. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
