8006 To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}20.3.39. AXLE FOR 3.B.50. HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}4/VS.{J. Vickers}18.3.39. We have discussed the problem of the new axle for 3.B.50 and decided that the car must wait for it as to send a car to France without it would be wasting a French test. As regards the various items of your memo (3) .125 section axle tubes can be used. They should be very visibly marked as being thin section. (4) Details will be finished tomorrow night. (5) We must have 10/41 gears. (6) The 40 mm axle shafts can be sleeved in order to use the 1 5/8" bearing, provided you can do this. (7) This is required and details will be with you by Wednesday night. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
