We have had scanty lubrication both to the push rods and the valve tips on the above units. The position of the holes in the rocker shaft have been experimented with and are not entirely satisfactory. One arrangement which we find gives excellent lubrication is in conjunction with the existing single hole in the rocker shaft, to have an annulus round the shaft .125 wide and .020 deep, in line with the hole. This has been tried out on both the B.60 and B.80 test bed units and should be carried out on all B.60 and B.80 units, and the detail drawing modified accordingly.
