(hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}).

Some little time ago we sent you for the purpose of storage, a Dummy 40/50 H.P. chassis mounted with a Sporting Type Open Body by Barker's.

The Coachbuilding Sub-Committee here are now considering a suggestion that a smart semi-sporting Open Body might be shown on one of the Rolls-Royce chassis to be exhibited at the forthcoming Olympia Show.

Our recollection is that the Dummy car sent to you presents a very attractive appearance and it is possible that it will be decided to copy this more or less closely for Olympia, so far as the body is concerned.

Before taking a definite decision, however, the C.S.C. would like to see some photographs of the Dummy car, as photographs of course, give a much better idea of the appearance of a car than the line drawings made up by coachbuilders. Could you, therefore, kindly arrange for the Dummy car to be photographed in each of the following positions:-

(a) Broad side.

(b) 3/4 Front view.

(c) Front view.

(d) Back view.

We would like to receive these photographs on Wednesday next at the latest as we have none too much time in which to settle all details of our exhibits at Olympia.

N.W. informed
